Duration: 8h
Time: 18th of June, 2022; Riga Performance festival
Place: Vecāķi beach
Materials: a white shovel, a white bucket, sand
Action: building landmarks between land and sea, dream and reality.

The idea behind this work was to explore the fragility of the boundary between the possible and the impossible and to create an image of peace, playfulness, and perseverance that exists in real-time but is indelible in subjective time – exactly what dreamers do in their everyday lives.
For 8 hours, equivalent to a full working day, I engaged in one of the most important things in the world – dreaming. I did so by the edge of the sea, building the boundary between water and land, creating landmarks that bridge the possible and the impossible, dream and reality.
