I use water and homemade syrup from wild rosehips gathered on Pāvilosta beach. Over four hours, I mix 101 glasses, beginning with pure water and ending with pure syrup. Each glass is a decision; each differs only slightly from the one before it.

The change is almost impossible to perceive from one glass to the next. The 14th and 15th may appear identical, while the 1st and 101st reveal an unmistakable transformation. Through repetition, colour deepens, concentration increases, and 101 small decisions accumulate in matter. By the end, the table holds 101 stages of a transformation that never arrived as a single event.
